Lockdown lifted at Bellaire HS following gun reports on campus

After a search of the building, the gun was not found, the district reported, and the students returned to the classroom.

This incident is being investigated by Bellaire Police and HISD Police.

This is an important message for parents and students at Bellaire High School from Principal Niggli. Please be advised that today, March 02, 2023, there was a report of weapons on campus. We immediately notified the HISD police department and closed down. After a search of the building, the pistol was not found. Students are safe, classes have resumed. We take these situations very seriously as the safety of our students and staff is always our top priority. Again, this was an important message for parents and students at Bellaire High School from Principal Niggly.
