Capital Health Center for Comprehensive Breast Care Receives Local Support
In a heartwarming display of community support, the Rothwell and Henderson families, along with Pennington Quality Market, organized a one-day shopping event on Saturday, October 28, 2023, to raise funds for Capital Health’s Center for Comprehensive Breast Care. This event, now in its ninth consecutive year, has been instrumental in raising nearly $47,000 to benefit the women and men receiving care at the Capital Health Center for Comprehensive Breast Care. Pennington Quality Market, a family-owned and operated grocery store in Pennington, is deeply committed to supporting the local community.
Expressing their immense gratitude, Capital Health’s President and CEO, Al Maghazehe, extended his thanks to the Rothwell and Henderson families, as well as Pennington Quality Market, for their unwavering dedication to patient care and their generous support of the Cancer Center.
The motivation behind this event stems from a personal tragedy experienced by Mike Rothwell, co-owner of Pennington Quality Market. He lost his mother to breast cancer 30 years ago, which instilled in him and his sisters, Barbara and Terri, a strong belief in the importance of raising awareness about early breast care and the availability of support services. Rothwell expressed his pleasure in collaborating with Capital Health and their talented team, emphasizing the significance of the event in contributing to the success of Hope is in the Bag.
