LIST: Oscar 2023 winners and nominees

Blockbusters took first place in the best pictures list, and the sci-fi indie hit “Everything Everywhere” led the way with 11 nominations.

LOS ANGELES – it’s time! The 95th Academy Awards are underway.

The telecast began with a montage of the nominees and then moved on to Jimmy Kimmel in the cockpit of a fighter jet piloted by Top Gun: Maverick star Tom Cruise. Kimmel then “parachuted” onto the stage before beginning his monologue.

Blockbusters took first place in the ranking of the best pictures, and the sci-fi indie hit “Everything Everywhere” led the way with 11 nominations. In several categories, the nominees are poised to make history.

10 Movies Nominated for Best Picture: Everything and Everywhere at Once, Banshee Inisherina, Fabelmans, Tar, Top Gun: Maverick, Avatar: The Water Path, Elvis, On the Western Front no change”, “Women talking” and “Triangle of sadness”.

The awards will also have stellar power in musical performances. Right after her Super Bowl performance, Rihanna will perform the Oscar-nominated song “Lift Me Up” from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
