Lewisville police issue arrest warrant for two suspects in murder of pawnshop owner

Lewisville police issued arrest warrants for 17-year-old Denirion Keishauan Skinner and 19-year-old Damonta Jeron Skinner.

LEWISVILLE, Texas. Two suspects are still wanted in connection with the February murder of a Lewisville pawnshop owner, the police department said. The suspect has already been arrested.

Lewisville police issued arrest warrants for 17-year-old Denirion Keishauan Skinner and 19-year-old Damonta Jeron Skinner for the murder of 54-year-old Daniel White.

Police said White was fatally shot on February 14 when three suspects dressed in black hoodies and blue jeans broke into his pawnshop in the 900 block of South Mill Street in an attempt to rob him.

Police said that after one of the suspects shot White, they all fled the scene in a Ford Escape SUV heading towards I-35E.

After White’s murder, his family spoke to the WFAA at a vigil. His wife Yolanda pleaded with the suspects and anyone with information to come forward.

“Speak up. I don’t care who you are. I don’t care if you know them or hear anything,” his wife Yolanda said. “Stand up and do the right thing, because that’s what Daniel would have done.”

In a Feb. 26 press release, police said the suspect, 18-year-old JayTevon Marquis Johnson, was arrested without incident in Dallas for his role in White’s murder. Johnson was taken to a Lewisville prison and charged with capital murder. His bail was set at $1 million, officials said.

On Tuesday, March 7, Lewisville police said they believe the two remaining suspects, Denirion and Damonta Skinner, are in the South Dallas area.

Police are asking anyone with information on their whereabouts to call the department’s hotline at 972-219-8477. Tipsters can also remain anonymous and send text information by texting “TipLPD” to 847411. Denton County Crime Stoppers can also take tips through their P3 Tips website and phone app.
