LEE COUNTY, Florida — Lee County Sheriff Carmine Marceno announces the expansion of our high school threat response team.

In December 2021, Sheriff Marceno created the School Threats Team (STET) to address the growing problem of threats to schools, especially online.

STET personnel are based at the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Real-Time Intelligence Center and work closely with Youth Service Criminal Investigation Division detectives to investigate security threats to Lee County schools.

The School Threat Unit is also responsible for providing intelligence support to the Youth Services Division to prevent school violence.
