Lee County Leaders Meet to Discuss Recovery from Hurricane Yang

LEE COUNTY, Florida. Lee County leaders are meeting Monday to discuss storm recovery measures.

The Lee County Recovery Task Force began meeting at 9:00 a.m. at the Collaboratory, 2031 Jackson Street in Fort Myers.

The Lee County Board of Commissioners elected Commissioner Kevin Ruan to chair the task force back in November.

This is the first meeting of the group, which includes 13 elected officials and government officials from Lee County.

Together they hope to find funding to help our community rebuild from a workforce to housing.

Since Hurricane Sandy, more than $50 billion has been allocated to help those in need.

District leaders hope to find these solutions and disseminate them among the population.
