Las Vegas Sands to build multi-billion dollar casino/resort at Nassau Coliseum

Las Vegas Sands has announced that they are planning to build a multi-billion dollar casino resort at the Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, New York.
The proposed long-term lease agreement, which is still pending approval, will provide Las Vegas Sands with about 80 acres to build an establishment that will combine a gaming casino, high-end hotel rooms, a concert hall, day spa, swimming pool, health club, entertainment venues and more.
Las Vegas Sands Chairman and CEO Robert G. Goldstein said the casino resort will be an economic boon for Nassau County.
“Our company’s track record of delivering significant economic benefits to the communities in which we operate, and the meaningful relationships and partnerships we have established in each of those communities, gives us a unique perspective on what it takes to develop transformative travel destinations that have a positive impact on local communities,” he said. “Based on this experience, we firmly believe that Long Island can be home to one of the most remarkable entertainment and hospitality events in the region.”
