Lake Worth police arrested a bartender accused of malpractice, who was driving while intoxicated, killed police officer Euless and injured his wife and two children.

Police said while investigating the death, detectives obtained evidence indicating that the suspect in the death of Detective Euless Alex Cervantes, Dylan Molina (who was 26 at the time), was overserved by 26-year-old Cala Richardson, a bartender at Fuzzy’s taco shop. . in Lake Worth.

Police also said that Richardson’s TABC server license expired at the time she served Molina.

Richardson went to the Parker County Sheriff’s Office and was released after posting a $1,000 bail, police said. She is charged with one count of selling to certain persons, a class A misdemeanor that can result in up to 1 year in prison and a $4,000 fine.

“Like most serious alcohol-related accidents, this case devastated the entire family,” Police Chief Euless J.T. Manushagyan said in a statement. “Today’s arrest fulfills the commitment we made earlier, which was to fully investigate this senseless crime and bring those responsible to justice.”

Last November, Molina ran a red light and crashed into Cervantes’ car, killing him and critically injuring his wife and two children, police said. At the time of the accident, Molina’s blood alcohol concentration was twice the legal limit.

Molina pleaded guilty on January 30, police said, and was sentenced to 15 years in prison.

Selling alcohol to drunk people is prohibited by the Texas Liquor Code.

No other arrests are expected in the case, police said, but TABC’s administrative investigation is ongoing.
