KFC is testing two new sandwiches in Tampa

TAMPA, Florida. (WSVN) — The chicken sandwich wars could rage again as Kentucky Fried Chicken tests two new sandwiches.

The Ultimate BBQ KFC Chicken Sandwich features extra-crispy fillets with honey KFC BBQ sauce, crispy fried onions, hazelnut-smoked bacon, melted cheese and pickles.

Spicy Slaw Chicken Sandwich features extra-crispy fillet, KFC signature kale, spicy mayonnaise, and pickles.

Both sandwiches are served on a brioche bun.

They will be available for a limited time on the menu or as part of a combo of a medium drink and a custom garnish.

“The KFC Chicken Sandwich is the best in the business, and we’re excited to expand our line of chicken sandwiches with two new premium options,” said Nick Chavez, director of marketing for KFC USA.

They are currently available in Tampa and it is hoped they will roll out across the country.
