Kathy ISD cancels author Emma Straub’s visit due to reuse of the F-word.

The best-selling author’s visit to the school was canceled after organizers learned of “inappropriate and obscene language on her social media platforms.”

For that reason, Cathy ISD said in a joint letter to parents of Robertson and Cimarron Elementary students that she was supposed to be attending schools last Friday.

However, that all changed when the school learned that she “regularly used inappropriate and obscene language on her social media, in particular, repeated the use of the word with the letter “F”.

“This language, as you know, is not in line with the values ​​of our school and society,” the letter says. “Therefore, the campus has decided to cancel the author’s visit, which was scheduled for Friday, January 13th. We apologize for any misunderstanding or inconvenience caused by this decision. However, we must continually model appropriate behaviors and expectations for our students, both in the classroom and across other campus opportunities, is of paramount importance to our Robertson Bulldogs.”

FOX 26 has reached out to Straub’s team for comment, but as of this writing, we have not received a response.
