Johnny Weir and Tara Lipinski talk about the US Figure Skating Championships

The nation’s top skaters are in the Bay Area this week as the 2023 U.S. Figure Skating Championships take place at the SAP Center in San Jose.

Olympic gold medalist Tara Lipinski and three-time US champion Johnny Weir stopped at the NBC Bay Area studio on Wednesday.

Weir and Lipinski talked to Raj Mathai about everything from who to watch in competition to how they became friends.

The 2023 US Figure Skating Championships will air on NBC, USA, and Peacock from Thursday, January 26 through Sunday, January 29.
