John Young Boulevard closed to traffic after cyclist dies in crash in Osceola

COUNTY COUNTY, Florida. – A cyclist died in a crash on John Young Boulevard in Kissimmee Tuesday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Soldiers said the accident happened around 8:04 pm on the North John Young Parkway at Ravenwood Lane.

A cyclist entered the south lane along John Young Boulevard when a 2018 Honda Civic struck the cyclist, according to FHP.

The driver and passenger of the Honda were taken to hospital with minor injuries, and the cyclist died at the scene, police said.

As of 10:15 p.m., the military announced a checkpoint along the boulevard for the inner and central lanes heading south.

This accident is still under investigation.
