Jeremy Renner says he returned from the hospital after a snowmobile accident on New Year’s Eve.

The star was in the hospital for over two weeks with a blunt chest injury and other injuries that landed him in intensive care.

WASHINGTON. Actor Jeremy Renner said on Monday evening that he had returned from the hospital after a serious snowmobile accident on New Year’s Day.

According to emergency service logs obtained by CNN and Fox News, Renner was “crushed” by his own snow tractor on a private mountain road near his Lake Tahoe home. He was flown by medical helicopter to Reno Hospital, where he was in critical condition.

Renner, who starred in Paramount’s The Mayor of Kingstown, tweeted that he checked out of the hospital just in time to watch the show’s second-season premiere: my family to the house.”

Renner did not give an exact day when he was released from the hospital, but the new episode premiered on Sunday. He also shared a photo of the snow-covered roads on his temporary Instagram story on Monday night: “It’s a tough ride over the pass. Stay safe Reno/Tahoe.”

The crash came after Renner had just towed a car driven by a family member out of more than 3 feet of snow, Washoe County Sheriff Darin Balam said earlier this month. As Renner climbed out of the snowmobile to talk to a family member, the seven-ton vehicle “began to roll.”

“Trying to stop (it), Mr. Renner is trying to get back into the driver’s seat. It was at that moment that Mr. Renner was hit by a car,” Valaam said.

The actor’s publicist revealed on January 2 that he suffered blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries and remained in the intensive care unit after surgery. According to 911 logs, Renner had extremely difficult breathing and “the right side of his chest” was described as “destroyed”.

Renner was nominated for an Oscar for The Hurt Locker and The City. His role as a bomb disposal expert in Iraq in the 2009 film The Hurt Locker helped him become a household name.

2012’s The Avengers cemented his role in Marvel’s grand storytelling ambitions, with his character appearing in multiple sequels and getting his own Disney+ series Hawkeye.
