Investigation underway for hitting a pedestrian found dead on a Miami street; roads are closed

MIAMI (WSVN) — EMS crews closed northbound traffic lanes on Northwest 27th Avenue on Monday as police investigate the hit-and-run.

Around 6:45 a.m., Miami police arrived at the area near 37th Street where one man was found with no response. The Miami Rescue Service pronounced the man dead.

According to official figures, the man could have been hit by a car that fled the scene.

Due to this investigation, the road between NW 36th Street and the 112th Airport Expressway is closed.

Travelers can take an alternate route along NW 22nd Avenue or NW 32nd Avenue to avoid traffic.
