Powerball, the power is moving!

The Post can confirm that $2 billion California Powerball winner Edwin Castro just invested $25.5 million in a luxurious mansion in the Hollywood Hills.

Castro, who claimed a win last month, opted for a lump sum payout of $997.6 million, lottery officials said. (It also had the ability to accept payment in the form of an annuity, which would be distributed in 30 installments over 29 years.)

And it looks like he wasted no time in investing his new money in some new real estate.

Comprising five bedrooms and seven bathrooms, it occupies over 13,500 square feet of living space.

Castro received a small discount on the house. It was originally listed for $29.95 million.

Set behind a private gate above the famous Château de Marmont, it was created by Roman James Design and is equipped with every luxury imaginable.

Dubbed “an artist’s dream,” amenities include a game room, wine cellar, movie theater, bar, and fitness studio with hot and cold water.

External features include an infinity pool, spa, two fire pits and a built-in BBQ area.

Panoramic views of downtown Los Angeles and Century City can be seen through a wall of Fleetwood glass doors, the previous listing notes.

Built in 2022, the main room features a fireplace, dining area and open kitchen with black granite countertops.

A double height staircase leads to the upper level where the main suite is located. The master bedroom has its own balcony and spa-style bathroom.

There is also a roof terrace and a five-car showroom.

Stefan Pommepey and H. Blair Chang of The Agency did the listing with Drew Fenton of Carolwood Estates. The buyer was represented by Max Lindenberger of Back Bay Realty Group.

At the time Castro was announced as the winner of the lottery, officials did not provide biographical information, including his age and previous profession. But Castro made sure to give the public a written statement.

“As shocked and delighted as I am to have won the Powerball draw, the real winner is the California Public School System,” Castro, who did not appear at the press conference, said in a statement. “The California Lottery’s mission to provide additional funding to California’s public education—both public schools and colleges—makes this a huge win for the state.

The Los Angeles Times first reported on the deal.
