If you are in Texas City, you may smell a strong smell. The Ministry of Emergency Situations says that’s why.
TEXAS CITY, Texas – If you’re in Texas City, you might be wondering, “What’s that smell?”
Marathon Oil had a “small oil spill” that is causing a smell in the city, Texas City Emergency Management Office officials said Wednesday.
According to representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, firefighters are currently working on the spot, monitoring the state of the air. According to TCEM, there are no indicators outside of normal levels.
The incident resulted in what officials described as a “bad smell” and will continue to be monitored.
Marathon Oil had a small oil release and this is causing a smell in the city. The fire department is currently monitoring air quality. There are no indications outside the normal range. This incident is now a bad smell. OEM and Fire will continue monitoring.
