Human remains found at Luling; officials do not believe this is related to the Jason Landry case

Authorities are investigating after human remains were discovered in someone’s backyard in Luling.

Around 6:00 pm on February 11, Lulin police officers were called to a house on Hackenberry Avenue.

Officials say the family living in the house had a dog that found the skull, and other remains were subsequently discovered.

The search continued over the weekend and the remains will be sent to the University of North Texas Human Identification Center.

Notably, investigators say they don’t believe the remains are linked to the high-profile missing person case of Jason Landry.

Landry is a Texas student who went missing near Luling in December 2020.
