On Tuesday’s show: A sixth officer from the Memphis Police Department has been relieved of duty as the Tyre Nichols death investigation continues. With the help of Douglas Griffith, President of the Houston Police Union, we take a closer look at how police officers are trained in Houston and how that has changed over the years.

Also at this hour: We’re discussing how issues before the Texas Legislature could impact the environment in the state and here in Greater Houston.

We then return to the backstory of the tunnel system in downtown Houston and listen to the man responsible for how the city’s skyline looks: the late Gerald D. Hines.

And the Cambodian rock band, a play at The Alley Theatre, tells the story of a Khmer Rouge survivor returning to Cambodia for the first time in thirty years as his daughter prepares to prosecute one of Cambodia’s most infamous war criminals. It features a live music band playing Dengue Fever’s contemporary hits and classic Cambodian oldies. We meet two of his actors.

Audio recordings from today’s show will be available after 11:00 CET. We also offer a free podcast here on iTunes, Stitcher and other apps.
