House fire in West Palm Beach under investigation

WEST PALM BEACH, Florida — West Palm Beach rescue crews responded to a house fire Saturday morning.

The fire was reported around 8:24 a.m. at a home on the 200 block of E Lakewood Road.

Arriving at the scene, rescuers found that smoke was coming from the house. It took firefighters 40 minutes to extinguish the fire.

West Palm Beach Fire and Rescue Captain Walter Gavin said the house was undergoing renovations. The fire started inside the house on the first floor and spread to the second floor.

Nobody was moved or injured.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.
