House destroyed by fire in southeast Austin

This morning in southeast Austin, a house burned down as a result of a fire.

Firefighters say the fire went through the roof when they arrived at a house in the 4500 block of Eric Circle.

The only passenger was safely evacuated by Austin police.

Fortunately, there were no casualties and the fire has now been extinguished. But the brigades are still in place, continuing the overhaul.

As of 7am, Pleasant Valley is blocked in both directions between Revere and Franklin Park.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
