Historic Til-Two Club Ownership Acquires Corazon Del Barrio in San Diego’s Logan District

February 6, 2023

The husband-and-wife team behind San Diego’s historic Til-Two Club in City Heights has taken over the Corazon Del Barrio concert hall in the Logan area.

The current rendition of Til-Two Club is actually a revival of an establishment that was founded in the City Heights space at 4746 El Cajon Boulevard in 1948. In 2010, Mick Rossler and Daniel Cobb (who also run the Tower bar down the street) took over what was then the Beauty Bar and transformed it back into Til Two Club. In early 2019, husband and wife Matt Cocken and Dottie Deville took over the bar and concert hall.

The owners of Til Two Club are now the new managing partners of Corazon Del Barrio as the Corazon family turns their attention back to their popular Salud taco shop and new bar, La Bamba Room, due to open this summer. The new collaboration will combine the iconic Til Two Club bar and passion for live music with Corazon’s pride in community development, creating a unique and unparalleled experience for San Diego music lovers.

“We are thrilled to join forces with Corazon and bring together two iconic San Diego locations,” said Dottie Deville. “Our shared passion for music and commitment to creating unforgettable experiences for our clients make this partnership a natural fit.”

Through this collaborative effort, Til Two Club and Corazon aim to create the best possible environment for local and national musicians to showcase their talents. The venues will continue to offer a wide range of music genres, ensuring there is something for everyone. Corazon’s larger capacity will allow more national tours to perform in front of an audience of 450 people.

“This merger represents an exciting new chapter for both Til Two Club and Corazon,” added Matt Cocken. “Our customers can look forward to the same great atmosphere combined with an even more dynamic program of live music shows.”

The partnership will go into effect in March and the combined marketplace will continue to operate under the Corazon name. The Til Two Club will continue to operate at its original City Heights location at 4746 El Cajon Boulevard and will host 188-seat shows. The Til Two Club is open daily from 16:00 to 2:00.
