HFD: Woman rescued from house fire in north Houston

One person managed to get out of the house, but the woman had to be rescued. She was taken to the nearest emergency room.

HOUSTON. On Friday, a woman was rescued from a house fire in north Houston. Houston Fire Department.

It happened on Clear River Drive, east of Homestead Road.

According to HFD, two people were inside the house at the time of the fire. Officials said the fire may have been started by a heater that was used to heat dogs in the home’s garage.

One person managed to get out of the house, but the woman had to be rescued. She was taken to the nearest emergency room. The dogs were fine.

The department asked people to avoid the area due to heavy emergency traffic.
