Heating centers open in South Bay amid freeze warnings

Warming centers will open at 14 locations in Santa Clara County, primarily public libraries, on Wednesday and Thursday due to freezing temperatures forecast.

Spaces will be available to vulnerable people at 11 libraries, as well as the Santa Clara Senior Center and the Community Recreation Center in both Santa Clara and the Morgan Hill Community Christian Center.

Libraries include branches in Santa Clara, Los Altos, Cupertino, Milpitas, Saratoga, Sunnyvale, Morgan Hill, and Gilroy.

Most of them open every morning and close at different times between 17:00 and 19:00. A complete list of warming centers, their locations, and hours of operation can be found on the County Emergency Management website.
