Global Processing Services appoints former Visa chief executive Jim McCarthy to head global sales and products

Global Processing Services (“GPS”), the fast-growing next-generation global payments technology platform, today announced the appointment of Jim McCarthy as Executive Vice President – Head of Global Sales and Products and Kevin Fox as the company’s new Chief Revenue Officer. . In this newly created position, Jim will lead the global GPS sales and product teams, working closely with Kevin to accelerate sales.

Jim is a highly skilled payments veteran with over 30 years of experience, including 18 years at Visa, where he held leadership roles in sales, risk and authentication, consumer finance, digital products, and product innovation.

As Visa’s Executive Vice President of Innovation and Strategic Partnerships, Jim was responsible for developing Visa’s product and technology roadmap, innovation efforts, and leading business development for Strategic Partnerships. At Visa, he was responsible for implementing industry standard 3D Secure and Visa Token Service, and helped launch Apple Pay®.

Most recently, Jim was President of i2c Inc., an American payment processor, along with Kevin Fox, who served as head of global sales and led the firm’s business development initiatives, building strategic alliances around the world.

Kevin is a seasoned international payments and technology leader with over 25 years of experience. During his time at i2c, Kevin has successfully expanded the company’s global sales organization and expanded its penetration into the banking sector, diversifying i2c’s revenue stream across segments and markets. Prior to i2c, Kevin served as Executive Vice President at NovoPayment and was responsible for the development and deployment of banking as a service (BaaS) across 11 markets.
