Frisco and McKinney are named the safest cities in the country, the report says.

Frisco and McKinney are the two safest cities in the country, according to a new report.

Financial technology company Smart Asset compiled the list based on violent crime, property crime, vehicle death rates, drug poisoning death rates, and the percentage of the population that abuses alcohol.

The company analyzed data from 200 largest cities in the country.

Frisco topped the list, ranking fourth in violent crime and sixth in property crime.

McKinney came in second on the list. The city was ranked 10th in violent crime and fifth in property crime.

Plano was ranked fifth on the list.

Fort Worth finished 52nd and Dallas finished 130th.
