Free Spay & Spay Clinic in San Antonio

The Spay Neuter Network offers FREE spaying and neutering, microchips and vaccinations for San Antonio dogs and cats.

SAN ANTONIO – Attention Pet Owners in San Antonio! The Spay Neuter Network (SNN) will spay and neuter your pets for free and offer free vaccines during an upcoming two-day event in the city of Alamo.

The events will take place on March 3 and 4.

They will also chip your pets at their new clinic in Brackenridge Park during the two-day grand opening.

“Our team is excited to be able to provide more neutering and grooming services in San Antonio,” said Jordan Craig, Executive Director of Animal Spay Network. “San Antonio is well known throughout the state as a city that is very active in helping animals. We look forward to being a part of this effort and partnering with other animal welfare organizations in San Antonio who are already doing amazing work in the community.”

On March 3 at 1:00 pm, they will be holding a ribbon cutting at their new clinic, located at 210 Tuleta Drive, near the San Antonio Zoo.

You can make an appointment to have your pet repaired that day online or by calling (972) 472-3500.

Microchips, rabies, parvovirus and FVRCP vaccines will be included in these surgeries free of charge. only on this day.

On March 4, from 8:00 to 12:00, a free vaccination clinic will be held.

During this time, parvovirus distemper vaccines for dogs and FVRCP vaccines for cats will be administered. Free rabies vaccines and microchips will also be available while supplies last. When they run out of free vaccines, others still waiting in line will be given more at a low cost.

Their new location is next to the Paul Jolly Pet Shelter Center in Brackenridge Park.

The new non-profit SSN Clinic is partnering with the City of San Antonio Animal Services to offer spay, neuter, and vaccination programs for San Antonio dogs and cats. They will provide these services at a greatly reduced cost, and in some cases free of charge, to help pet owners who are in financial difficulty.

Texas shelters are seeing a huge boom in the number of homeless and unwanted pets, largely due to the fact that many people simply cannot afford to pay for spaying and neutering surgeries.

Often these are pets that continue to breed and contribute to the problem of overpopulation of our pets.

“We know that affordable pet neutering is an effective and vital tool as we continue to address animal issues in our community,” says Shannon Sims, director of San Antonio Animal Care Services. “San Antonio is very pleased to have the Spay Neuter Network join us in this effort. As one of the best pet health providers in the country, we welcome them to our group of positive partners in helping the City of Alamo become a more humane place for pets.”

SNN also offers other vaccinations, heartworm tests, and prevention for fleas, ticks, heartworms, and other parasites at a low cost.
