Fort Worth Police Say Two Suspects Record Robbery With Fake Weapons

One of the suspects had an object depicting him as a gun in his hand when he entered the store.

Fort Worth, Texas. Fort Worth police are asking the public for help in identifying two men who allegedly staged a hoax during a recording of the act.

On February 25, 2023, at around 3:40 pm, two people entered the Family Dollar at 7320 S. Hulen St. in Fort Worth. It’s southeast of Ben H. Rosenthal Park and west of Candleridge Park.

One of the suspects had an object depicting him as a gun in his hand when he entered the store. As seen on video from the store, another suspect appears to be filming a man with a fake gun.

According to police, the suspect with the item pointed it at the cashier and yelled at everyone, “Lie down! The other man continued to record what was happening.

Both suspects left the store and left in a black car, police said. They then drove to another Family Dollar store at 8500 McCart Ave. and allegedly repeated the same crime.

Police say the suspect with the fake gun is a man about 6 feet tall. He wore black sunglasses, a gray hoodie, gray sweatpants, white shoes, and a red American flag cap.

Police say the suspect is a man with a beard who was wearing a red sweatshirt with “Rockets” written on it and black sweatpants.
