Former employee arrested after shooting at idle business in Port Charlotte

PORT CHARLOTT, Florida. The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office arrested a suspect after a shooting in a vacant building on Thursday morning.

Deputies from the CCSO were sent to the scene at a used car sales and service plant. Upon arrival, the deputies noticed that the windshield was broken and had two holes that appeared to have been caused by gunshots.

The deputies also found a bullet hole in the door of one of the cars in the parking lot. Evidence found at the scene indicated that several shells had been fired at the house.

The MPs spoke to the owner of the business and learned that an employee named Jiraroin Madsali had recently been fired and threatened the owner.

After searching Madsali’s social media profiles, Major Crimes detectives uncovered photographs that showed a small semi-automatic pistol and a small box of ammunition. Additionally, Madsali posted a video claiming “people haven’t seen anything yet” and that law enforcement would be needed.

Detectives were able to contact Madsali, who agreed to speak about the incident. He gave a full confession and was arrested on two counts of shooting at a vehicle or dwelling and one count of felony disorderly conduct with over $1,000 in damages.
