Who is Smokey

The Birth of “Smoky” named Valentino Bethel was born in Nassau, Bahamas where he had a strange start. He attended CH Reeves Junior High School and continued his education at RM Bailey High School.

Music has always occupied a strong place in Smokey’s life since childhood. Playing in a marching band, he honed his skills early. The 1998 concert changed Smokey’s life and made him realize his calling. The show’s message inspired him to become a singer-songwriter, and in 2001 he decided to turn his love of music into a career.

Since becoming a professional artist, Smokey has performed in the Bahamas and overseas in Bermuda, the United States, Japan and Africa. The singer draws inspiration from his life experiences and communication.
