Florida Teenager Swindles $800K from Five Victims, Says US Attorney

Noah Michael Urban, a 19-year-old from Palm Coast, Florida, has been accused of an elaborate scheme to steal a total of $800,000 from five different victims. This revelation comes from a recent release from the office of United States Attorney Roger B. Handberg, shedding light on the extent of Urban’s alleged criminal activities.

According to the release, Urban, who is also known by various aliases such as ‘Sosa,’ ‘Elijah,’ ‘King Bob,’ and ‘Anthony Ramirez,’ has been indicted on multiple charges. These charges include one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, eight counts of wire fraud, and five counts of aggravated identity theft. The indictment was made on January 11, following Urban’s arrest on January 9.

If convicted, Urban could face a maximum sentence of 20 years in federal prison. Additionally, the aggravated identity theft charges could result in an additional two or more years of imprisonment. The seriousness of these charges underscores the gravity of the alleged crimes committed by Urban.

The indictment reveals that Urban is accused of amassing the staggering sum of $800,000 through a combination of wire fraud and identity theft. These criminal activities allegedly took place between August 2022 and March 2023, highlighting the prolonged and calculated nature of Urban’s alleged scheme.

This case was a result of a joint partnership between several law enforcement agencies, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Justice Department’s Computer Crime and Intellectual Property Section, the United States Attorney’s Office District of Oregon, and the United States Attorney’s Office Middle District of Florida. Assistant United States Attorney John Cannizzaro is leading the prosecution of this case, emphasizing the seriousness with which the authorities are approaching Urban’s alleged crimes.
