Florida man involved in multiple bank robberies in North Texas sentenced to more than 11 years in prison

A Florida man involved in at least five bank robberies in North Texas has been sentenced to more than 11 years in prison, according to the US Attorney’s Office.

Thomas Banno, 54, pleaded guilty to bank robbery in August 2022 and was given a 140-month sentence last week.

According to his statement, Banno admitted to being involved in at least 5 bank robberies and attempted bank robberies in North Texas from June to August 2021.

At the time, he was on probation for bank robbery in Florida.

Banno and his co-defendant Sade Salters, 36, who also pleaded guilty to bank robbery, admitted they traveled from Florida to Texas to rob banks.

During the robberies, Banno wore a mask and demanded “all $50 and $100” from the cashier.

After two robberies, Salters bragged about her money on Facebook Live. Banno can be seen sleeping nearby.

Salters has yet to be sentenced.

Banno will serve his sentence in a federal prison.
