FLAGLER BEACH, Florida. The woman was hit by a car when she tried to help the victim.

Flagler Beach police said that around 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 11, the victim approached the suspects near Wicklin Park because she saw someone being attacked.

The victim, Caitlin Dame, said everyone quickly jumped into the car and then the driver reversed, hitting Dame.

Detectives said surveillance video from the park showed the driver of the vehicle hitting Dame twice before driving away quickly.

“It’s just a terrible situation,” Dame said. “I scream: “You are on me. Get off me, get off me. Your car is on me.”

The lady was rushed to the hospital, where she underwent surgery for leg and ankle injuries.

“I can’t do anything myself. Shit, everything hurts. It’s too painful for me. I am mad. I’m angry with her, I’m angry with everyone involved,” Dame said.

Investigators said Gabriella Alo, 18, then drove the car to Jacksonville with her brother Nicholas Alo, 21, in the passenger seat.

Flagler police said the two minors were in the back seat of the car after the Alo siblings forced them into the car. The mother told police that her 14-year-old son was physically abused and then that same night, Alo’s siblings took him to Jacksonville.

Investigators were able to trace the Jacksonville motel where the suspects were staying and arrested Gabriella Alo on multiple charges, including three felony charges for aggravated assault, child abuse, and leaving the scene of an accident with serious injuries. Prison records show that Nicholas Alo has not been found.

Dame said she had undergone surgery for a triple broken ankle and would not be able to move around without a wheelchair for several months. She said she is grateful for the support of her family and her colleagues at Tortugas Florida Kitchen and Bar in creating GoFundMe to help her recover.

“I am very pleased to know that I have all these people who support me, cheer for me and want me to get better,” Dame said.

According to investigators, what was happening was captured by the surveillance cameras of the owner of the city.
