Firefighters put out a truck fire at Exit 8 on the New Jersey Turnpike.

EAST WINDSOR, NJ (MERCER). Around 3:05 a.m., the Hightstown, Cranbury, and Robbinsville fire departments were sent to the New Jersey Turnpike at Exit 8 due to a truck fire. Upon arrival, it was found that the tractor had become detached from the trailer and that the rear of the flatbed trailer, pulling steel reinforcement, had been badly damaged by the fire. Firefighters stretched their hoses and put out the fire. There was a partial blockage of the shoulder for cleaning. There are no additional details.
