FBI: 19-year-old arrested after armored truck guard shot at Houston mall

The alleged shooter has been identified as Ricardo Rodriguez. According to the FBI, he was arrested approximately 36 hours after the shooting and charged federally with interfering in trade by robbery and using a firearm during a violent crime.

The shooting occurred on Tuesday during a robbery, officials said.

Houston police said the guard was shot in the chest but not seriously injured as he was wearing a bulletproof vest.

Authorities have not released any details of the robbery.
