Fatal Shooting in Northwest-Side: Suspect at Large, SAPD Investigates
An argument that is believed to have originated inside an apartment escalated into a violent incident when gunshots were fired from a car. The tragic incident took place in the vicinity of Eckhert and Huebner in San Antonio on Tuesday afternoon. Upon responding to the scene, authorities discovered the lifeless body of a man, indicating that he had succumbed to the shooting.
According to the San Antonio Police Department (SAPD), the gunfire occurred within a vehicle, and the suspect, who remains unidentified, fled from the 6100 block of Whitby in another vehicle. It is suspected that the shooting was preceded by an exchange of gunfire. SAPD officials are currently investigating the incident and are gathering surveillance footage to aid in their inquiries.
“This appears to be an isolated incident,” stated an SAPD spokesperson at the scene. The victim, identified as a male in his 20s, was tragically caught in the crossfire. Detectives and officers are diligently working on the case to unravel the circumstances surrounding the incident and bring justice to the victim and their family.
