Fans flock to the 2023 World Baseball Classic at a rented park.

Baseball teams from nearly two dozen countries have arrived in South Florida to compete in the 2023 World Baseball Classic.

A 7News camera captured enthusiastic fans as they walked to Credit Park in Miami on Sunday afternoon.

A trumpet player was seen playing “Take me Out to the Ball Game”.

The home arena of the Miami Marlins is one of four venues for the event. Games also take place in Arizona, Taiwan and Japan.

Fans flock to Magic City from all over the world for the chance to see their favorite players and teams, and to represent their country.

7News spoke to fans in Nicaragua, Israel, the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico.

The Classic is an international professional baseball tournament. All this week games will be held at baseball stadiums, and the quarter-finals, semi-finals and championship game will take place next week.

It wasn’t just the game. Vendors prepared delicious treats from different countries. There were hot dogs, but there were also arepas for sale.

While there can only be one winner, the attendees are hoping their favorite team can kick some of the balls.

The semi-finals are scheduled for March 19 and 20, and the championship game will take place on March 21, all in the credit Depo Park hall.
