Family Dollar Clerk Shot in Leg by North Houston Robbery Suspects, HPD Reports

HOUSTON — A clerk at Family Dollar in north Houston is recovering after he was shot dead by robbery suspects on Monday, Houston Police Department officers said.
HPD units responded to the alarm at Family Dollar located at 11046 Airline Dr. around 8:57 pm.
According to investigators, the female sales assistant was inside the store when three suspects entered, detained the store and shot the sales assistant in the shin. The three suspects fled on foot, police said.
The store was reportedly open at the time of the shooting. Police said they are still investigating whether anything was stolen.
The officers said the clerk was expected to recover from his injuries.
The investigation continues, police are looking for suspects.
