Ewing resident fatally shot in Trenton on May 14.
Trenton, NJ – On May 14, 2023, Justin Reed, 24, of Ewing, received fatal injuries as a result of a shooting that occurred on Brunswick Avenue. Eleven homicides have been reported in Trenton in 2023 thus far, making Reed the latest victim in the ongoing crime wave.
The Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office confirmed that Reed died on May 22, 2023, as a result of injuries he sustained in the shooting. At this time, no arrests have been made. The Mercer County Homicide Task Force is now investigating the case in conjunction with the Shooting Response Team. In addition to Reed, other homicide victims in Trenton in 2023 are as follows: Donnell Williams, 29, of Trenton, Stephanie Vil, 34, of Burlington, Khalil Glanton, 23, of Trenton, Harold Rosario, 19, of Trenton, Nyeisha Saunders, 41, of Trenton, Jhosse Tolentino, 23, of Trenton, Daniel Garvin, 46, of Trenton, Ralph Conquest, 43, of Lawrence, Roger Martinez-Rodriguez, 27, of Trenton, and Sherief Treadwell, 36, of Trenton.
The Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office seeks the public’s help in their investigations into these crimes, and encourages anyone with any relevant information to come forward.
