Ewing firefighters extinguish a car fire on North Alden Avenue

Ewing (Mercer). This evening (Thursday, February 9) a car fire disrupted traffic on North Alden Avenue, near the intersection with Pennington Road. Around 6 p.m., the fire was reported by an Ewing Township ambulance crew on its way to a nearby ShopRite supermarket for medical emergencies. The ambulance crew reported heavy smoke from the car. Volunteers from Prospect Heights Fire Co. responded with Engine 31 and Squirt 31 and quickly extinguished the flames.
