The Adams administration is opening another megamigrant shelter – this time with stunning views of the Statue of Liberty and New York Harbor – for 1,000 adult single men, the mayor said Saturday.

A fifth emergency response and assistance center will open at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal in Red Hook sometime next week, as early as Wednesday, one source in the city told The Post.

Large tents will be set up inside the terminal to provide additional protection for migrants from the elements.

“Our city is on the brink of collapse,” Mayor Adams said in a statement about the cruise terminal plan.

According to a letter obtained by The Post from Kevin Cho of the city’s Office of Legislative Affairs to city council members, most temporary residents will be relocated from the city’s already overcrowded Watson Hotel humanitarian aid center in Midtown.

“Once opened, this site will serve approximately 1,000 asylum seekers in a general setting and will offer the same services that adult males receive at other humanitarian aid centers, including medical care, food, laundry and recontact,” the statement said. . letter. “The Watson Hotel Humanitarian Center will transition to serving incoming families with children seeking asylum.”
