HOUSTON “A little dog with such big innocent eyes has gone through a lot in the short time of its dog years.

According to Tri-County Humane, Soldier, a well-deserved name, was found glued to the ground and stuck to the pavement off Yamato Road for several days, left to die.

When rescuers found him, he had larvae crawling on his fur, overgrown nails, tooth decay, the rescue shelter said. But the extent of his condition was not apparent until several hours after his departure, such as keto shampoo baths due to urine and fecal burns.

After several tests were done, they found that Troper was suffering from 22 diseases, 22 diseases in one dog in one day.

The paratrooper also suffered from the most critical conditions:

  • Paralysis

  • Murmurs in the heart

  • Corneal ulcers

  • Enlarged prostate

  • worms

  • severe periodontal disease

  • Ear infections

  • IMP

As the Soldier continues his valiant and long road to recovery, Tri-County Humane needs the public’s help with medical care. The rescue shelter has reached $2,500 so far, but it needs more help to find a specialist to help the Soldier walk again.
