Disneyland bans Rebel Wilson over selfies, actress says

Commit a crime, serve time – even at Disneyland!

Actress Rebel Wilson recently revealed that she was banned from the happiest place on earth for 30 days because of a selfie she took in a “secret bathroom”, which is of course not allowed.

Wilson spilled tea on the Daily Show with comedian Hassan Minhaj, recalling that the Anaheim theme park has “Met Gala rules.”

“They called me and said, ‘Rebel, what’s the 30 days you didn’t want to come to Disneyland because you’re going to make a movie or something?'” she explained to Minhaj, who was a guest and hosted the show.

“That’s how you know you’re a celebrity,” Minhaj laughed back.

“Disneyland has the Met Gala rules, ‘There are no pictures here,’ but then you break them and they say, ‘Look, we have to punish you, but look at your Google calendar, which month is right for you. ?” she said. She chose June.

Although Wilson did not reveal when the incident occurred or where the said “secret bathroom” was located, Disney fans were quick to deduce that it likely happened at the exclusive 33 Super VIP Club. The members-only private club is located on Royal Street, sandwiched between shops in New Orleans Square, just around the corner from the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction. Club 33 gained notoriety for the price of its membership (about the median income of an American family) and a long waiting list.

“You have to pay for an annual membership. Photos are not allowed. It’s very beautiful there,” one person commented.

Wilson also spoke of Disneyland’s “gangs” such as the “Children of Thanos” or the “White Bunnies”, which she described as groups of adults dressed in identical outfits and “doing gang things”.

According to Wilson, one of the gang’s initiatives was to steal an apple from the Snow White ride. The apple has been stolen multiple times, so Disneyland has made the apple a hologram to prevent any future theft.

“Don’t ask me how I know about Disneyland gangs, because I won’t tell,” she said.

Wilson is a big Disney fan. The actress got engaged to Ramona Agrumah in a park in February. In an interview on the show, Drew Barrymore, Wilson said she got permission from Disney head CEO Bob Iger before asking the question.

“He’s a big, big boss, and I thought, well, if he says yes, then that’s how it should be, and I should have proposed that day at Disneyland,” Rebel shared.

FOX 11 has reached out to Disney for comment but has yet to receive a response.
