Derek Jeter Says Thong Helped Him Get Out of Yankee Crisis

Derek Jeter admits to using a thong to break out of a slump originally featured on NBC Sports Boston.

On Wednesday, Derek Jeter showed dirty laundry in front of a national audience.

During a performance on the “Evening Show” the famous New York Yankees the captain revealed that he once wore a gold thong to break out of the doldrums at the plate.

Jeter was playing a True Confessions game with host Jimmy Fallon and singer Rita Ora when he took the envelope and read, “I once wore a thong in public in front of thousands of people.” Fallon and Ora proceeded to question him, but they believed that Jeter was lying until he announced that it was true.

“So, in 2004, I went through the worst offensive period of my career, and every day I walked in, he pointed to a thong. So finally I put on a thong.”
