The Stetson community is deeply saddened by the death of student Caleb Walker on Saturday night.

On Saturday evening, Caleb was moved from his on-campus residence at Building D to AdventHealth DeLand, where he was later pronounced dead.

House D is located next to the houses of the fraternity, but it is not affiliated with the fraternity, and Caleb was not a member of the fraternity.

Stetson University respectfully asks for privacy in order to allow our students, faculty, and staff to come together today to remember Caleb and pay their respects. This informal gathering is closed to the media or the public.

We communicated and supported Caleb’s family. Our condolences and sincere sympathy to them and to all members of our community who knew and loved him.
