DeLand crash leaves motorcyclist in critical condition

A motorcyclist is currently battling for their life in critical condition following a grave three-car accident that occurred in DeLand, Florida. As reported by the DeLand Police Department, the crash took place on Thursday at approximately 3:10 p.m. along Flightline Boulevard, close to the intersection with Biscayne Boulevard.

Preliminary investigations into the incident revealed that a Kia sedan was traveling southbound on Flightline Boulevard, when all of a sudden, the driver ran a stop sign and collided with a Chevy pickup truck that was passing by. The sheer impact of the collision caused the truck to spin out of control, sending it into the pathway of a motorcyclist who was close by, leading to a disastrous three-car accident.

The motorcyclist who sustained grave injuries in the accident was quickly airlifted to Halifax Hospital, located in Daytona Beach. While the victim remains in stable condition, they are still considered to be in critical condition, and the extent of their injuries remains unknown.

Witnesses present at the accident scene claim that the Kia sedan appeared to have completely disregarded the stop sign at the intersection, leading to the harrowing accident and endangering the lives of several motorists.

The drivers of the Chevy and Kia, fortunately, emerged from the accident unharmed. The DeLand Police Department is, however, still investigating the incident to ascertain the root cause of the crash. Investigators are currently appealing to anyone who might have additional information related to the accident to come forward and assist in their inquiries.
