DarioHealth, Dexcom partner, will use CGM data to treat chronic diseases

DarioHealth partners with Dexcom to integrate the company’s continuous glucose monitors into the Dario platform for chronic disease management.

The collaboration will allow Dario’s digital health tools for metabolic health to include data from Dexcom CGM, wearable sensors that automatically monitor blood glucose levels in diabetic patients.

Dario said CGM data integration will provide more personalized support and guidance to users.

“Today, almost two million people use a continuous glucose monitor, and the ability to capture this data on the Dario platform expands our ability to provide a dynamic, highly relevant experience to more people living with diabetes. This is an exciting development that will ultimately benefit every Dario. because CGM data enriches our shared data ecosystem,” said Rick Anderson, president of Dario.

BIG TREND

A company that also offers digital health products for mental health and musculoskeletal, says the latest partnership, building on a previous deal with biopharmaceutical giant Sanofi.

Almost a year ago they announced a $30 million strategic partnership to accelerate the adoption of the Dario Toolkit in the US. At the time, the companies said they would focus on expanding Dario sales for health insurance plans and employer selection, as well as developing new or improved tools.

In the Dexcom announcement, Dario said the collaboration with Sanofi aims to build an ecosystem of technology partners and digital therapeutics.

“We are proud of our ongoing partnership with Sanofi US to help Dario drive new innovations to meet the needs of our customers and members, as evidenced by this Dexcom integration,” Anderson said.

At the end of 2022, Dexcom announced that received FDA clearance for the latest model of its CGM, the G7. The company is announcing the launch of a new Super Bowl ad system later this week.
