Cyclist fatally hit by SUV in New York

A cyclist was fatally hit by an SUV driver in Staten Island on Friday morning, police said.

The cyclist, who is in his 30s, was driving south on Wilson Avenue near the Demopolis Avenue intersection in Eltingville at around 10:15 a.m. when a woman driving an SUV in the same direction hit him, authorities said.

Police arrived at the scene and found the cyclist, who was not immediately identified, with body injuries.
