BRIDGETOWN, Barbados – The Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) has appointed Marketplace Excellence Corporation (MPE) as its Communications Consultant for a period of six months.
MPEan American public relations, marketing and media agency with strong Caribbean roots and extensive experience in the tourism and hospitality industry, will provide strategic communications services to support the work of the CTO.
“The appointment of MPE is part of the CTO’s efforts to improve, strengthen and expand our corporate communications,” said Rose Harris, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the CTO, who emphasized that developing and implementing an effective strategic communications program will help lift the important work of the organization.
MPE’s scope of work for the CTO includes prioritizing the organization’s global and regional brand positioning. As well as coordinating complex media relations and digital communications programs.

Neil Walters, Acting Secretary General of the CTO, expressed his satisfaction with MPE’s appointment after competitive bidding, stating: “We have had a historically productive relationship with MPE and its president, Bevan Springer, who has made a significant contribution to the development of tourism. communications landscape over the years as a journalist and now head of communications.”
