Crews retrieve the badly decomposed body from the flooded creek west of San Antonio

San Antonio firefighters were able to successfully retrieve the remains of a woman from the banks of a western creek, according to the San Antonio Police Department. The corpse was badly decomposed and found in the flooded vicinity of 5900 block of West Commerce Street around 8:30 pm on Friday. This unfortunate discovery marked the second body found in San Antonio this week, following the discovery of a deceased individual tangled in debris in a park on the south side, although no details have been provided at this time.

The San Antonio Fire Department was notified of the incident, and quickly responded to recover the body from the fast-moving water, with potential causes of death yet to be reported. An investigation has now been launched to determine what events led to the woman’s untimely passing.
