Country Bear Musical Jamboree Delights Audiences with Disney Song Remixes

Disney Transforms Classic Songs into Country Twang Celebration

In a move that is sure to delight Disney fans of all ages, Walt Disney World is set to unveil a new musical experience that combines classic Disney songs with a country twist. The Country Bear Musical Jamboree, set to open at the Magic Kingdom on July 17, 2024, promises to be a toe-tapping celebration of all things country.

The revamped show, which replaces the iconic Country Bear Jamboree, features a brand-new lineup of songs that have been reimagined in an authentic country style. According to Ken Ricci, manager of Technical Show Quality at Walt Disney Imagineering, the show pays homage to the Opry-style shows of Nashville and offers a fresh take on beloved Disney classics.

The vocal talent behind the new setlist is equally impressive, with popular country artists lending their voices to the characters. Mac McAnally, a 10-time CMA Musician of the Year, takes on songs like “Fixer-Upper” from “Frozen” and “The Bare Necessities” from “The Jungle Book,” while country singer Emily Ann Roberts brings her unique twist to “Try Everything” from “Zootopia.”

For Roberts, the opportunity to be a part of the Country Bear Musical Jamboree is a full-circle moment, harkening back to her teenage years when she first visited Disney and participated in the American Idol experience. Now, her voice will be immortalized in the show for years to come.

The bears themselves have also received a makeover, with new costumes inspired by a tour stop in Nashville. The designers have added modern elements like sparkle, embroidery, and rhinestones, while still staying true to the original look of the characters. Fans can expect to see familiar faces like Big Al and Liver Lips McGrowl in a whole new light.

As the Country Bear Musical Jamboree prepares to make its debut, guests can look forward to a show that combines the magic of Disney with the down-home charm of country music. With a new lineup of songs, fresh vocal talent, and updated costumes, the show is sure to be a hit with audiences of all ages.
